2024 Asia-South America Carrier ETA Performance Report

In 2024, Vizion tracked over 13.3 million container journeys with event level detail across all major global trade lanes leveraging more than 230 sources. We analyzed the accuracy of estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) provided by ocean carriers to better understand reliability and performance trends. ETAs differ from carrier schedules, in that they are the carrier's first operational information shared after a container departs origin.

What's included in the report?

  • Carrier ETA Performance
  • Carrier Transit Times + Delay
  • Carrier Report Card (Grading Scale: A-F)

Over the coming weeks, Vizion will evaluate ETA performance for ocean carriers across major trade lanes. Expect detailed analysis and data visualizations to inform your 2025 procurement and planning. In the meantime, we welcome questions and challenges to our assertions on the Transpacific trade route. Accurate shipment ETAs are critical, and we anticipate these insights will spark valuable discussion regarding carrier allocation and selection in 2025.
