2024 Australia-Asia Carrier ETA Performance Report
In 2024, Vizion tracked over 13.3 million container journeys with event level detail across all major global trade lanes leveraging more than 230 sources. We analyzed the accuracy of estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) provided by ocean carriers to better understand reliability and performance trends. ETAs differ from carrier schedules, in that they are the carrier's first operational information shared after a container departs origin.

NEW! Just released, this report covers the Asia–Australia trade lane, including both southbound (Australia to Asia) and northbound (Asia to Australia) container flows.
This lane is a vital part of regional trade, supporting everything from retail imports and manufacturing inputs to agricultural and industrial exports. While transit times are generally steady, the report highlights significant differences in carrier performance, delay risk, and planning reliability across both directions. The analysis includes major carriers such as Maersk, ZIM, COSCO, ONE, Swire, Hapag-Lloyd, CMA CGM, MSC, Pacific International Line, and OOCL.
