2024 Transpacific Carrier ETA Performance Report
In 2024, Vizion tracked over 13.3 million container journeys with event level detail across all major global trade lanes leveraging more than 230 sources. We analyzed the accuracy of estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) provided by ocean carriers to better understand reliability and performance trends. ETAs differ from carrier schedules, in that they are the carrier's first operational information shared after a container departs origin.
What's included in the report?
- Carrier ETA Performance
- Carrier Transit Times + Delays
- Carrier Report Card (Grading Scale: A-F)
Key Takeaways from the Report:
-
Not all carriers are equal – Reputation doesn’t always match performance.
-
Planning requires predictability - Small delays can have a major impact on inventory management.
-
The best carriers balance speed and reliability - See who made the top grades on both Eastbound + Westbound (North America <> Asia) Transpacific routes.
